Over the weekend of July 4 and 5th 2023, the Bristol Pitbulls played their final tournament in the National League Div 3. This year the league consisted of 10 teams across the South West and South East after a couple dropped out at the the beginning of the year. The final tournament was a weekend affair over at Aberfan’s polo pitches and we played 4 games on each day, with a nights camping following an excellent curry in Methyr Tydfil.
Final results show us 6th in the league with creditable performances from all players in the squad including Sarah, Gail, Steve P, Rolo, Lewis, Mike V, Nick, Mark and our latest recruit James. In Aberfan we had a team of six including Lewis, Nick, Mike, Mark, Sarah and Rolo. Our results improved over the three tournaments and on the last weekend we even gave the teams at the top a few scares. Congratulations to Rhondda Rhinos who won the league and Southampton who came second.
