The Harbour festival Committee invited both our Club and Avon CC to put on a demonstration of Canoe Polo at the Bristol Harbour Festival over the weekend of July 15th and 16th 2023. The rain and Harbour Festivals seems to come along at the same time, however over 20 hardy polo paddlers turned up and formed three scratch teams called, Yellow, Purple and Black. The tournament consisted of 6 games with all teams playing four games on the Saturday. Some excellent polo skills were on show and the weather did its bit by sun shining then gusting withwind before torrential downpours. However, we entertained a reasonable flow of people passing by to the festival further up the docks, who stopped to enjoy the action. Many thanks to all involved for a successful day of canoe polo.
