Editorial

A late magazine, I’m afraid, with almost nothing in it! I’ve been waiting for some articles to appear, but to no avail. I thought I should issue this one anyway with a programme and membership list.

The deadline for the next issue will be around the end of October 2005.

Thanks – Conor O’Neill

The Electronic Canoe Club

A reminder that the canoe club has an electronic side to it.

There is an active email list, with discussions about where to paddle and arrangements for trips, etc. If you’d like to be added to this list, please contact Conor on webmaster@bristolcanoeclub.org.uk.

We also have a web page, with information about the club, and many links to (hopefully) useful related information. Have a look at:

Silly-isms

A paddling joke… How many marathon paddlers does it take to change a light bulb? None! Marathon paddlers can only remove light bulbs, they can’t do clockwise turns to put the new bulb in! (Courtesy of an old member – Liz Murnaghan, who appeared and raced at our club marathon event in June)

Marathon Race

Many thanks to Steve Bennett for organising the club marathon race in June, which I am told went off very successfully. [ Ed – The results can now be seen here. ]
