Bristol Canoe Club is a club for paddlers in the Bristol area. With around 150 members our members participate in many canoe based activities as well as social events throughout the year. The Club is primarily focused on white-water paddling, flat water racing and canoe polo, while also pursuing a range of general leisure paddling sessions for flat water, surf and coastal areas. We maintain a modern and comprehensive range of club boats and equipment for new paddlers and club members to use, stored in an accessible and secure area on the Bristol harbour.

Our Calendar page shows the latest information, but many trips, training sessions or socials can be planned at short notice, and organised via our members-only messaging system.

From September through to March, the Club runs a weekly pool session at Bristol South Pool on a Monday evening, where our General sessions cater for beginners and paddlers perfecting paddling and rolling techniques for example.

A canoe polo session follows the general session where polo kit is available for new members. The Club has two active polo teams participating in both the National and South West Regional League.

During the summer, our General sessions continue on a Thursday evening at 6pm from the Baltic Wharf on Bristol Harbour. Our canoe polo sessions continue at the outdoor pitch underneath the Cumberland Basin Flyover.

Our flat water racing members hold regular trainings sessions on the Bristol Harbour, where we also have a storage facility for racing boats. Our racers participate in many events nationally and hold a regatta on the Bristol Harbour.
