This page is the precis; see the links for the detail of each day... Here is an introduction about who we are, and how we got there. We started off on the first day with a play-run in medium water down the Sjoa. On the next day, we had two more paddlers who needed warming up, so we did another trip down the play run section of the Sjoa, although a few hardy souls also got up early to paddle a harder section. We then ventured further afield to the Lora in very low water. This excited us enough to try a trip down the Frya - this turned into a bit of an epic with broken car, missed get-out, and a very long day on the water. A rest day therefore ensued, with a few souls again playing on the Sjoa. Then - the mighty Ula falls. Finished off with a trip down the Otta for the meeker few. The Jori then beckoned - fine trip in medium to high water - plus a few people abandoning their boats on the river. A group the went back to the Ula for a trip down the Ula slides. The whole group then headed off to the Upper Driva for a welcome mixed-ability paddle. Our experts then pitted their wits on the Tundra, which certainly tested them. A ‘rest’ day on the Leira turned into something a bit harder. Finally, over to Voss, and the Raundelsaelva. This turned out to be much harder then expected, but thoroughly enjoyed by those who persisted. And here is a summary of the swim counts, etc. |
