Stop Press: 10th April 2007: Very many congratulations to Bristol Canoe Club's Tristram Turner who has won the 2007 Devizes to Westminster race in a time of 17:03. He paddled with Piran Shelley from Richmond Canoe Club, and they beat 85 other finishers in the senior doubles. Write-up by Tris is in the club magazine, Spring 2007. The club has an active Marathon section. We train every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening on Bristol Docks. (See the Directions page).

Bristol Canoe Club marathon race

In June each year, we run a marathon race on the river Avon just outside Bristol. The race starts and finishes at Hanham, next to both the Chequers Inn, and the Old Lock and Weir pub. The address is: Chequers Inn, Hanham Mills, Bristol, BS15 3NU.

The 2007 race will be held on Sunday 3rd June.
